Matthieu débarque chez ses parents à cinq heures du matin. Il est trempé des pieds à la tête, porte un sac à dos rempli de pierres, et souffre d’une amnésie totale. Le père et la mère tentent de comprendre ce qui a bien pu arriver à leur fils, mais cette enquête se transforme vite en règlement de compte familial.Qui est Matthieu ? Un amnésique ? Un manipulateur ? Un enfant qui vient prendre une revanche sur sa famille ?
